What began in 2021 as a local mobile photography contest in Washington, D.C. has grown into an international competition connecting photographers across North America, Asia, Europe and beyond.
The Washington International Mobile Photography Awards give mobile photographers a platform to capture moments, tell the stories around them, and share the reflections behind each image. Every entry is reviewed anonymously, over multiple rounds, by an independent panel of internationally recognized photographers.

Home is more than a place to live. It holds memories, emotions, identities, and a sense of belonging—a refuge for the soul as we journey through life.
Through photography, explore the connections between people, family, land, nature, and culture, and express the many meanings of “Home.”
Entries may take a documentary approach or use creative photographic expression to convey stories, emotions, and reflections inspired by the theme.
